District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) to review Paddy procurement will be held at 4 pm at VC room where State Agencies, Rice mills, FCI and Food Officials have been asked to attend.

- Review of agency wise progress to be held on 16th January 2013.
- As per the reports as on 14th January 2013, there are 64 PPCs functioning throughout district to purchase CMR paddy in addition to 300 plus rice mills purchasing levy paddy at MSP.
- 1.40 Lakhs MT paddy has been purchased so far.
- EC of rice offered for Levy to FCI for a quantity of 21224 MT, State Food Supply go downs 24300 MT, totalling 45524 MT has been issued.
- 11500 MT rice to FCI and 16000 MT rice to State Go Downs has been delivered. Rice mills to deliver the offered rice to FCI go downs first in order to facilitate movement of rice outside State by FCI once they are go downs are filled.
- Total 27500 MT rice is already collected in district go downs.
- District Controller has been advised to increase the vigil over rice mills and PPCs and ensure that paddy purchased is at MSP, from genuine farmers and payments by account payee cheque in favour of farmer are issued on the spot.
The strategy and approach this year has been refined and effective, particularly direct Purchase Officers at large number of PPCs issuing cheques to farmers directly.
