There is RTC at Burdwan for the in service training of staff of all the departments in the district. Staff of Asansol and Durgapur are deprived as they are not spared to attend the training at such far away places and also need incur extra travelling expenses.
District administration Burdwan submitted a proposal for separate RTC at Asansol to Administrative Training Institute, PAR department considering the fact that Asansol will be new district HQ shortly. Govt has approved the proposal and has also allotted funds for procurement of computers, LCD, training material and furniture etc. A sum of Rs 20 lakhs has been received by district authority.
ADM Asansol's Katha Conference Hall ground floor has been identified for computer labs and first floor for classes. Training capacity will be 40 heads per class for theories and 10-20 for computer practicals. Procurement of hardware and furniture is under process and likely to be completed in one month time. ADM Asansol is being requested to get the site ready. We plan to open the facility before Pujas.
RTC imparts training to Clerical, Group "D" employees of all the Govt departments free of cost on matters related to service issues, financial procedures and procurements, office management and procedures, skill development on use of office tools like computers, fax, xerox, mobile sms, SKT on technical works, law matters etc as per need assessment of the department concerned.
