West Bengal CM programme at Asansol Burdwan

Hon'ble CM will attend Official public function at Asansol polo ground at 12.30 pm and Burdwan Police line ground at 2.30 pm on 10th January 2013. HCM will lay foundation of Kazi Nazrul University.

• In both the programmes HCM will distribute Govt benefits like bicycles,  agri implements pumpsets, power tillers, cart cum crate to vendors, credit cards, medical aids, cheques of loans, housing, prosthetic aids etc to several thousand beneficiaries. Programme is Sanhati mela at Asansol.
• Five projects inauguration and 15 major projects foundation stone may be held in addition to several announcements for Burdwan district. 
• Invitation is open to public,  no passes required. Proper Arrangements for media to facilitate their work ensured. Verified all arrangements at both places and plans to visit today again at 12 noon Asansol and 4 pm Burdwan venues. For info and cooperations please.

1.24 Lakhs MT paddy procured, 64 paddy purchase centres operational

Paddy procurement has picked up now in Burdwan. 

• So far, 1.24 MT paddy has been procured from rice mills and purchase centres.
• There are 64 PPCs, 14 direct and 10 more Direct PPCs to be operational in next two days.
• 40 PACS are doing purchase as CMR out of 139 enlisted. We hope to increase the number by middle of January 2013.

Already 16000 MT of rice has been delivered to go downs of FCI and State.

Finally Rs 54 crores sanctioned to Burdwan under MGNREGA -PIAs to start work at full swing.

It is known today that Rs 54 crores is being released to Burdwan on 8th January 2013 under MGNREGA for two months.

• All blocks please take up new works in full swing and ensure that payments are made weekly.
• All pending MIS of funds already released must be uploaded by 31st January 2013, otherwise no further funds will be released.
• This should also be ensured that GPs and Sansads with shortfall of annual labour budget are accorded priority while sanctioning schemes and starting new works.
