We submitted DPRs for new connectivity for left out 500+ population villages to GOI a few months ago. Now, GOI has sanctioned 18 roads with length of 43 Kms in Burdwan district in the current year. Estimated project cost is Rs 18 crores with average Rs 46 lakhs per Km.
- Further, 18 roads with length of 183 Kms have also been approved for up gradation of roads. DPRs for up gradation of roads are under process and is likely to be submitted to GOI by end of this month.
- At present 100 Kms length of new roads under PMGSY are under construction in Burdwan district, which were sanctioned last year.
- We also expect to get further 19 roads of 56 Kms sanction in next phase under up gradation category.
This is good best to road sector in Burdwan district.
