Meeting on Paddy procurement at Sanskriti Burdwan - some pictures

• Paddy Procurement starts from 30th November 2012.
• 4.4 lakhs MT to be procured in Burdwan involving 88 PACS/PAMS
• 30 Permanent/ Semi Permanent Paddy Purchase Centres (PPCs) to be operational till March 2012, one at each Paddy producing blocks where on the spot payment by account payee cheque to be issued by CMR agencies.
• 70000 MT new go down capacity funds sanctioned under RIDF XVII, work to commence before March 2013.
• At present vacant space in go downs is 30000 MT and further space likely to be cleared.
• KCC, ROR of land to be primary identification for farmers. ID can be issued by officers of Agriculture department and BDO office also.
• Monitoring at block level by BDOs to be strengthened.
