Thanks for successful control and containment of Avian Influenza in Nadia

I am thankful to all the officers, volunteers and govt. employees of the district for successful control and containment of bird flu in some blocks and municipalities of the district. 24x7 hard working, painful efforts of all my colleagues shall be ever remembered. We have lots of work to do in next three months so as to avoid further outbreak. I am sure that we'll overcome any crisis and hope to continue the same support and cooperation.

2. Monthly development meeting with BDOs and Sabhapaties shall be held on 13th Feb 2008 at 10.30 am.

3. We need to improve utilisation of funds as discussed in the last month's sub-divisional meetins.

Nadia gets first award in state for disabled - Governor fecilitates

Dear Colleagues,

I am glad to share with you that NADIA district is being awarded first award for the best Local Level Committee for affirmative actions and development programme for disabled persons. The award and a citation shall be presented to us in a function at Kolkata from Hon'ble Governor West Bengal on 3rd December 2007. I express my sincere thanks and best wishes to all of you for this great achievement. Let's keep it up.
