Meeting regarding Police Deployment Plan for General Panchayat Election 2013 at Asansol today

Plan for deployment of police forces in terms of orders of State Election is one of the most difficult task to be completed well in time. Once block wise number of armed police and normal police is finalised based on vulnerability mapping and other inputs, arrangements for bringing them from first phase districts, accommodation and logistics, electricity arrangements and area domination tasks can be taken up by the Police Stations/ Block. So, it is crucial to decide source and strength of forces, both State and Central at least five days before date of election so that field officers get adequate time to make arrangements.

Discussions completed for Burdwan District Police on 8th July 2013 with Observer and Police. Today, similar discussions are scheduled to be held at 12 noon at Katha Conference Hall Asansol with Asansol Police Commissionerate areas. There are 812 booths in ADCP and 3982 in BDP.

Land Revenue Officers told to organise special camps to clear mutations and conversions

Mutations and conversion of land are the most common citizen services BLLRO offices provide. In general there is always long pending applications due to manpower constraints. Today, called officers of Land and land Reforms department of all blocks and Sub divisions and told them to organise mouja wise camps to clear the backlog. Each RO has to dispose off 400 cases per month.
